It is not that we don't care about non-Linux operating systems at all. It is
simply that we don't currently have active developers who work in a Windows
environment, and so it is more likely that things are falling between the
cracks.

I, for one, try my best to make sure we don't regress on Windows, and Chang
does the same for MacOS, but it is more likely that things will break
inadvertently.

The 2.15 cycle is actively targeted at greatly improving testing as well as
cleaning up so much old cruft that makes these kind of bugs far more likely. It
is a 22-year-old codebase which has always been a part-time and usually spare
time p project.

I would absolutely love you have a Windows-based person on the team, even if
they are not able to commit to anything more than testing, but we need a quick
feedback cycle, which we currently lack.
