I got two copies of config.h, which only tell me that configure thought typeof
existed under the name typeof:

/* Define to 1 if you have some version of the typeof operator. */
#define HAVE_TYPEOF 1

/* Define if your typeof operator is not named typeof. */
/* #undef typeof */


However, I really need config.log as that will show the way the test failed,
and config.status is useful too.
